There are no shortcut to growing luscious, long hair. Your general health and wellbeing affect your rate of hair growth. You can encourage your hair growth by maintaining healthy hair through a good diet and proper hair care.
For healthy hair, eat healthy diet, abolish junk and processed foods, aerated drinks, smoking and drinking, it will do your body and scalp good. 5. Foods rich with vitamin E- cereals, soybean oil, and sunflower oil contain good amount of vitamin E. The scalp capillary function is stimulated by the intake of vitamin E in your diet. It plays a vital role in improving blood circulation to the scalp.
6. Foods rich in omega 3 fatty acid- tuna, salmon and sardines are rich source of omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 is one of the essential fatty acids our hair needs to be healthy. Walnuts, almond nuts, flaxseed, canola oil, shrimps, lobster and crab are also sources of omega 3. It promotes the production action of hormones that affect the health, tone, sheen and integrity of your hair. Also the source of the body’s natural lubricant for the scalp and big contributor to the sebaceous gland responsible for feeding hair follicles.
7. Food rich in minerals like iron (green vegetables), zinc, selenium, magnesium and copper are also good for your hair health or better still, get a supplement that contain all these minerals.
