Week 6 games started with the derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea continued their resurgence after a wonderful performance in the champions league. They compounded the woes of Arsenal by defeating them 2 nil at Stamford bridge, with goals from Kurt Zouma and Eden Hazard. Arsenal ended the game with 9 men after Gabriel and Santi Carzola saw red.
Man City were dazed by West Ham United, the giant killer at the Etihad stadium. Until this game, City had been maintaining a 100% without drawing, losing or conceding a goal in the EPL until West Ham happened. With all of City's quality, they couldn't overturn a 2-1 deficit.
Tottenham made it two wins out of two when they defeated Crystal Palace by Son solitary strike to earn the maximum points.
Southampton vs Man United game was a cracker. A five goal thriller it was, with United coming out winner. It was a game of sheer class, with goals from: G. Pelle, A. Martial and J. Mata.

The game between Chelsea and Arsenal was an entertaining one, but where I smell foul was when Diego Costa was unruly.
ReplyDeleteThe only way I consider fairness in football is when a player, as a striker, decides to torment opposing defenders with his feet and not his lips or hands.
